The Humane Society of Chittenden County (HSCC) and Davis Studios of Burlington are thrilled to announce the third annual online "Our Best Friends" art auction.  Sale of the colorful and whimsical portraits will help raise funds for abandoned and homeless animals. This year's collection will be hosted by Play Dog Play  (a canine daycare and boarding center locatedat 668 Pine Street on the "Hop") - and will consist of 36 portraits painted by young artists, ranging in age from 5 to 13. Last year sales from HSCC's online auction raised more than $3,000 to support the care and re-homing of animals in Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties.

This year's auction bidding will kick-off with the start of Art Hop at 8:00am Friday, September 10th and conclude on Friday, October 1st.

Come meet the artists on Saturday, September 11th at Play Dog Play from 11-12pm and enjoy light snacks and beverages while you browse.

Teresa Davis, of Davis Studios, hosts two sessions of art classes each spring during which young student artists create two animal portraits. At the end of the sessions, each artist donates one of their two creations to the Humane Society of ChittendenCounty - and they're made available for bidding via online auction, with all proceeds benefiting the homeless and abandoned animals in our community.

Hope to see you there!
